THE PROBLEM: BETTAS WITHOUT GENETIC QUALITY

You’ve probably experienced this: crossings without a clear goal, unpredictable results, and Bettas that lose color or change throughout their lives. It’s a cycle of wasted time, money, and effort that can be avoided!

These mistakes compromise your breeding and affect the value of your bloodlines. But not anymore!

THE SOLUTION: BETTAS WITH GENETIC QUALITY

Bettas with colors and color distribution that are replicable and stable.

With our course, you will transform your breeding process. Imagine having Bettas with perfect and stable colors, impressive fin shapes, and genetics designed to last for generations. This is not a distant dream, but a reality within your reach. By learning how to select the right breeders, make planned crossings, and understand genotypes precisely, you will be able to breed top-quality Bettas. Bettas that will make everyone look and ask: "How did you do that?"

Throughout the course, you will learn clearly and didactically the genetic engineering behind Bettas, with no mysteries. Under the guidance of Vitor Chevitarese, you will learn to apply proven genetic strategies, design Bettas with defined traits, and even develop new bloodlines. The future of your breeding starts now!

Through the genetic history you make personal notes of the genotypes and traits found in your matrices. Learn how to manage bloodlines to maintain your lineage.

Define the objective, apply reverse engineering, identify traits and genotypes, use Punnett squares, search for matrices, perform test crosses, reproduce them, analyze the results and promote your lines!

Developed together, we combined efforts with experience and expertise to create this material. Based on academic experiences as a student, it presents significant didactics, facilitating content understanding.

Your Instructor

60 years of experience handling and studying Bettas.

Vitor Calil Chevitarese began with Bettas in 1965.
Since 1978, he has studied Betta genetics through test crosses, information gathering, and exchanging ideas with other breeders. He now demystifies genetic traits and their effects on phenotypes.

Based on hands-on experience and standing on the shoulders of giants, he teaches how to design your own Bettas.

He is passionate about preserving existing lines and developing new ones. In this spirit, he teaches how to develop the black salamander Betta, stressing that no breeder succeeds alone – sharing breeders and knowledge is essential.

His greatest goal is to improve Betta stocks worldwide and support breeders in achieving success.

Note: You will not find all the information presented here anywhere else, since the betta research process presented here (analysis and observation of phenotypes) began in 1978, ensuring a complete learning journey, in addition to presenting and proposing improvements to already established genetic models.
